Kenwood Dashcam
This Kenwood Dashcam can be fitted front only or front and rear. Both cameras are HD resolution with 30 frames per second.
This kit is hardwired into the vehicle meaning it switches on automatically when the ignition is on, and also switches off automatically. This is a fit and forget device until and incident occurs and evidence recording footage is required.
2 inch Screen
The camera has a 2 inch viewing screen for set up and viewing. This allows customers to adjust the view easily from sitting in the car with the engine running.
It has a 2 inch (diagonal measurement) full colour TFT screen with HD (1920 x 1080) resolution.
This is still a small camera and is usually installed behind the rear view mirror on the passenger’s side. This means as a driver the dashcam is masked by the mirror and does not restrict visibility in any way. It is only the passenger who see the camera in full view.

32GB Micro SDCX Memory Card
Cameras are supplied with a 32GB Micro SDCX Memory Card. This gives approximately 290 minutes of recording time. Once this capacity has been reached the oldest data is overwritten. If an event occurs we recommend saving the data as soon as possible to avoid deletion.
The video is organised into 1 minute clips. This means that it is important to register the time of an incident so that it is easier to retrieve data later.
3-axis G-Sensor & GPS Receiver
The G-senor measures forces of acceleration that act upon the vehicle. These includes forces due to sudden changes in direction, braking, or impact, such as during a collision. When the G-Sensor detects a significant force, it triggers the dash cam to save the current video file in dedicated folder and can’t be overwritten when the storage is full. This critical footage is then preserved for future review or as potential evidence.

Front Dashcam or Front and Rear?
The front dashcam is by far the most important camera. When somebody reverses into you it is difficult to prove that you did not drive into them. The rear camera is not so important, as when a collision occurs it is presumed the second car is at fault.
Often in the event of an accident Insurance companies automatically ask for Dashcam footage to support your case.
