This zz-2 head unit is a revolution for older cars. Some cars have limited space either due to obstructing vents and dials or simple because they do not have the required rectangle aperture. It only takes the space of a Single DIN stereo (approximately 7 x 2 inches) and can therefore provide a solution.
CarPlay
This head unit gives wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, connecting to modern phones. Once paired your phone will automatically connect when the ignition is on and will remember the last device used.
Use Waze, Google Maps, Spotify and dedicated radio channel apps that can be downloaded from the PlayStore or AppStore. CarPlay only takes compatible Apps to the head unit and these are generally anything to do with mapping or music.
6.9 inch Touchscreen
This stereo has a 6.9 inch touchscreen. This is measured from one top corner to the alternate bottom corner on the other side to fit within the seven by two inch rectangle.
The resolution is 1080p high resolution screen for crisp looking App icons that can be touched and activated.
Rear Camera Input
This stereo has one rear camera input allowing existing reverse camera to show the view on the screen. Simply put the vehicle into reverse to see the rear image on the head unit screen. Once pulled out of reverse the screen will return to the CarPlay view.
Please note: additional wiring may be needed to allow factory fitted cameras to work.
USB A and USB C
On the front of this stereo within easy reach are 3 USB inputs. There is one USB A, one USB A high current slot for charging, and one USB C. Audio playback can be achieved via these USB slots allowing some mirroring functions.
